This is my 3rd year gardening in Sacramento and it must be my lucky year because everything in my garden is flourishing. For the first time ever I have green grapes and strawberries that have not been pecked to death by the local birds. I'm thinking it's because I've kept the birds fat and distracted by keeping my bird feeder full of wild seed in the front yard. I don't even think they've noticed what's growing in the backyard.
Each day I've been able to find ripe strawberry's and zucchini and in a couple of weeks or so and I'll have a bounty of tomatoes, peppers and grapes.
I love what's happening in my wee little flower garden...
Because I do. A lot.
