Last year I discovered perennial strawberries growing under a pile of winter weeds in my little backyard giving garden. That was a very nice surprise!
Now it's that time of the year again and I've been working in my little backyard garden this week preparing the soil for planting. The perennial strawberries started sprouting in early April and last week they began flowering.
This week the berries are growing
and I hope to have lots of strawberries soon.
And here's a little glimpse at what they looked like today...
I think strawberries are my very favorite plant - there really is nothing like a fresh, sweet strawberry!
