Crape Myrtle ♥

Sacramento is in full bloom this month and my crape myrtle tree is no exception. The blossoms are a rich pink and they are just so beautiful! My neighborhood has one blooming in nearly every front yard which almost makes the summer heat bearable.

It also brings all the bees to the yard (cue "Milkshake song")

Roses, roses everywhere!

Flower Garden and Kitty

My flower garden seems to have come alive overnight.  The first roses and peonies of the season are so beautiful. 

 

The sweetest neighborhood kitty comes to visit me each day. She has no collar and no one claims her. She won't come inside and she refuses any type of food or drink I offer her. She still has her claws and fat belly so we've decided she's probably a mouser and a pretty good one at that. 

She loves to sit right up on porch with me and watches over the neighborhood while I'm gardening.  She's like my little guardian :)
