Share the Love

Every so often I get in the mood to bake. And I do. A lot. Just ask Mr. CHiPy. My kitchen fills with the aroma of baked goods and my kids swear that our house smells like a bakery. I love to hear that.

Last week I made a ton of zucchini bread from my garden zucchini. I think I ended up with close to 45 cups of shredded zucchini.  It was zucchini craziness around here.

One of the fun things about baking is sharing with others.  And we did.  A lot.

Mini-zucchini bread packaged and ready for delivering.   One of my favorite recipes here.

Share the love.

Disneyland Service Project

Have you heard about "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day"?  My friend told me about this and Mr. CHiPy and I thought it was a wonderful way for our family to participate and get involved in doing something for the Binky Patrol, an agency that serves traumatized children in our Northern California community.

As a family, we decided to make fleece blankets, or "Binky's".  We completed six blankets, one each, and spent an evening  talking about our projects, checking out each others' work and laughing while we watched a silly movie.

And now we'll all enjoy a fantastic day at Disneyland together this Spring.
